I last wrote about producer / musician Rupert Hine in 2003. As far as I know, he hasn’t released any new music of his own since 1994. I continue to work on my collection of UK original releases. I know I am definitely missing the 12” for “Living In Sin”, as a friend of mine has a copy. I recently added the Australian 45 for “Immunity” b/w “Another Stranger” – it would seem to be a unique coupling. Also finally finding promos for the A&M UK 80’s 45’s!

“Immunity” and “Waving Not Drowning” are astounding albums. I understand they have been re-issued by Voiceprint in England, but I have only ever seen a copy of a re-re-issue “Immunity” once – my friend Joe found a copy recently.

I REALLY need the "Waving, Not Drowning" and "Wildest Wish To Fly" CDs while they remain currently in print (again) and affordable. I used to have the US copy of the latter while I've never had the former. I'm not entirely sold on the re-re-issue of "Immunity's" cover. I'm glad I got the first edition way back when. Now that is a rewarding album! I recommend it to anyone who digs the third Peter Gabriel album. They come from a similar mental space as former prog guys get arty and alienated with the New Wavers.

Jim-san,

Definitely get the R. Hine re-issues sooner rather than later. "WND" is sides 3 & 4 of "Immunity", FYI. And the "WWTF" CD is the UK/Eu vers., not the US vers.

I just played the 3rd PG a;bum for the first time recently. I must say, I like "Immunity" better.
