I have more or less re-completed my contiguous Black Sabbath collection now. Not easy to find these days, for some reason. When these were new releases, I stopped at “Master Of Reality”, and started again with the final Ozzy album, “Never Say Die”. Always odd to me that these albums seemed to change ownership, outside of the US. At least with US pressings, you knew you were getting a quality product from Warner Brothers. And what’s up with “Live At Last” – released in England by the Nems company – unauthorized? Bootleg-ish? How / why does this exist? And when is it from? And why is it of such poor recording quality?

Well, it’s impossible for me to dislike the first 8 albums by Black Sabbath. They were part of my youth. Yes, I saw them live (in ’78), and I bought a T-Shirt! Where’s the ticket stub? Must check my “Never Say Die” LP jacket…
