“You Can’t Do That On Stage Anymore” was a series that Mr. Zappa created before his untimely death in 1993. 6 x 2CD sets is a lot of material to get through, even for a Zappa fan! Roughly equivalent to 4LP sets each! Me & my Zappa friends have been digesting this set over the last twenty years or so.

Recently, Gary in New Zealand said that he had been listening to this set in his car – and that it had helped to play them in reverse order. We agreed that volumes 5 and 6 are really excellent.

For this entire series, I have original Rykodisc 1^st issues. I have never seen the need to buy re-masters, as I have all 6 volumes stored in a glorious purple anvil case that was issued around the time of vols. 5 & 6. If I got re-masters, this case would not hold slim-line 2CD cases.

I always liked that once you get in a few volumes, FZ started putting in corrections to previous volumes’ booklets (personnel, dates of shows etc.)
