Talk about “they don’t make ‘em like this anymore”! While I am a big fan of the first 4 or 5 M&P albums, I am the first to admit they are a tad slight on content. Yes, John Phillips could write and arrange hits and, yes, Mama Cass Elliott could sing ‘em… I am very fond of some of their singles, especially “Words Of Love” and “Creeque Alley”.
It took me a while to get mono & stereo copies of all of their early albums. During the 80’s, I always picked up “Best of” re-packagings etc. I also have some other 45’s, but no solo material, as far as I can remember. I’d buy their
