Toshio Nakanishi! I bet I was so naïve that when “H” by Hajime Tachibana first rolled down the pike, I didn’t even know he was the guitarist of The Plastics!

There is also a Plastics ‘tribute’ CD, “Welcome To The Plastic World” (Epic/Sony Japan, 1999 with Pizzicato Five and Fantastic Plastic Machine).

I have met Tachibana; I’ve interviewed Nakanishi. I followed Nakanishi’s work in real time, through Melon and Watermelon…to Tycoon Tosh & Terminator Troops, to Skylab, to Major Force West, Mo’ Wax…Pussyfoot…back to Japan…still following him, actually. I just got (and listened to) the “DR. VoBG (Live 2007.10.29)” CD. Plastic Sex CD, too! I wrote the liner notes for the 2^nd Watermelon album…
